Faherty's in Oughterard

09/01/2025: Was really looking forward to coming here, it's a beautiful thatch pub from the outside. We both ordered fish and chips, which should have come with mushy peas. It didn't, so I asked, we received one pot between two, so my husband asked again for another. The food was nice, but fish batter could have been a bit crispier and portion of fish bigger instead of covering plate with loads of chips. The Guinness was very good, the food wasn't bad, they could have done with putting the fire on but the service definitely needs improvement and I wouldn't come back to eat again. For a drink maybe.

31/12/2024: Such a welcoming, cosy pub/restaurant! An ideal stop for meals and/or drinks when in Connemara.
