We stopped here on a pub tour I'd organised for me wife's 40th. Jessica was really accommodating in planning this in advance and had an area out the back for us. She arranged food to be ordered in for us also. Lovely turf fire at the front bar too. Definitely recommend.

We are family of five that stumbled upon this little gem in the middle of Oughterard village on our way to Roundstone, what a place! Lovely charming warm and welcoming! We had beautiful toasted sandwiches & cappuccino’s and my husband reckoned he had the best pint of Guinness he has had in a long time!

Faherty's Bar in Oughterard is a gem! The atmosphere is always lively and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a pint of Guinness. The staff are exceptional – friendly, attentive, and always ready with a smile. Their toasted special is a must-try, simple but delicious. Whether you're there for the food, to watch sports on the big screens, or just soak in the great vibes, Faherty's never disappoints. Highly recommend for a true Irish pub experience!

08/11/2024: The atmosphere in this place was unlike anything I've experienced in all the pubs I've been to. Upon arrival there were already a few people waiting ahead of us and the place was packed. Definitely a jewel of Oughterard. We were closely followed by more and more people looking for a table, it was madness! But brilliant madness. The food was amazing. The chowder in particular was unreal. The chicken wings were the biggest I've ever seen. Mutant chicken level. The beef burger I had was the hottest piece of food I've ever had out of a restaurant kitchen, bravo to the chef!
