Brilliant pub , up there as one the best and most friendliest in cork

Today I had the opportunity to visit Fordes Bar and the experience was excellent. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere envelops you with that warm and welcoming feel typical of Irish pubs. The decor is one of its greatest achievements: dark wood, traditional details, and soft lighting that invites you to linger. The wooden bar is the heart of the place, perfectly maintained, with that rustic touch that gives it character and authenticity. It's an ideal place to go with friends or to have a quiet pint on your own. The service was impeccable. The staff was friendly, prompt, and always smiling, something that makes all the difference and makes you want to come back. The beer selection is also very good, with several classic Irish options and some surprises worth trying. Without a doubt, Fordes Bar is a place I would return to. It has soul, a good atmosphere, and everything you'd expect from a true Irish pub.

We stopped in to compare Guinness & Beamish stouts and to try their toasties. We had heard good reports about Fordes Bar. The Beamish did not disappoint, nor did the toasties. But the best part of our stop was the excellent service provided by Tony. He is the consummate bartender. If we find ourselves back in Cork in the future, we will be stopping in at Fordes Bar, for sure!
