Franciscan Well Brewery in Cork

We visited the Franciscan Well with friends over the weekend while they were visiting from the UK. The Brewery tour we booked was interesting and the lady that explained everything to us was really informative (I can't remember her name but she was from Kerry !) The beer samples went down a treat and obviously we ordered a few more pints following the tour...the stout went down very well...!!! There is a great choice of Craft Beers available as well as the Stout.! The Pompeii Pizzas which are freshly made on site, are amazing, and the choice of toppings were very enticing....!! We ordered a mix of different pizzas, and we all said they were some of the best we have had, so fair play to the pizza team there..!! The setting is very nice with a cosy bar inside and a great seating area outside with heaters available for cold days..!! All the staff were very friendly with great customer service all round..!! We highly recommend the Franciscan Well Bar...put this on your list of "must do's" when in Cork...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great little place and lively atmosphere however it gets super loud in the evening. Come before 6 or 7 to catch a seat

Called in for a look. Manager Michael let us taste all the beers before deciding on which to have. I had wheat beer my wife had the stout both very enjoyable. Michael is very friendly and proud of the establishment. Great Craic for over an hour. Well worth a visit. Thanks Michael

We absolutely love this place! It is quite a different experience during the jazz festival but still a great time. Excellent beers on tap. Amazing beer garden. Much quieter and a nice relaxing spot for a pint or two during the day. Manager was friendly and we enjoyed talking with him about the history of the site as well as the history of the beers. During the jazz festival this venue changed completely. But was also an amazing experience. Great music. More beers than usual. Very popular. And, as always, Pompeii pizza! Hands down the best pizza in Cork! You can have a full night out with dinner, drinks, music, and fun, all in this one place if you like, and you will not be disappointed.

If you are tired of the "usual" Guinness I recommend this craft brewery (in consortium with other breweries in Ireland) which offers a very good range of truly special pale beers (IPA and Weiss).

You cannot beat the Fran Well . Always the best vibe and the nicest staff - blessed to have this place in Cork it didn’t get much better. Absolutely love the beer garden, possibly the in the country (warm and cosy all year round) and one of the best pizzas too.

One of the best bars in Cork City. Such a good vibe both downstairs and upstairs (cocktail bar!!!!!). The pizza here is also pretty nice! So many craft beers!!

Visiting Cork for a long weekend and always after good local craft beer. The Franciscan Well didn’t disappoint on that front with excellent Hazy, IPA, and Stout. Smaller inside than I thought but large covered beer garden that was crammed on a Saturday evening in December (as was every place). But one of the very nice staff gave me a ‘reserved’ table where I could enjoy one of the pizzas from the kitchen. I think they only have pizza but good variety and super fast. Order & pay at the pizza window..
