First time in Fred’s last night. Fantastic venue with super friendly staff. Smoking room also available. Attended a heat of Battle of the Bands. Great atmosphere. I big shout out to Adrian who hosted like a true pro but more importantly went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome even the the auld wans like ourselves. We had the best night and would definitely go again

Fred Zeppelins is a great little pub blasting rock and metal which I love. The staff are great and very friendly. The only problem the upstairs venue. It's absolutely tiny. I went up to see a few metal bands playing last night and was gasping for air as it was like a sauna during a heatwave Ireland is going through. As more punters came in people were pushed further back against the wall myself included. I tried to enjoy the first band on the bill.l, but I couldn't even move and was struggling to get a sub of my pint pinned almost behind the door. Two lads were moshing at the front and people afraid they would fall back on them. After 20 minutes I had to leave the upstairs. The upstairs room is better off being a little metal disco instead of a venue if you ask me. Cork needs a proper metal venue, it's ridiculous.

My rating is not for the pub downstairs which I loved but the sweatbox venue upstairs in over 30 degrees heat with no Aircon or windows. Lads seriously my sitting room is bigger.

Best place for rock or metal bands great atmosphere the staff are awesome and you can find small town politics playing there so keep an eye out you won't want to miss them! follow them on Instagram

We didn't eat there but the service was good and if you are into grunge, it's the place for you

Very simple bar, mostly a hangout for regular locals. Inside smokeroom might be a plus for some.
