Freddy's in Galway

The food was great, my food came 2 minutes later than other therefore they gave me a free desert, very nice staff, all recommendations, you even get sweets with the receipt.

One of the best Italian restaurants!!! It was very tasty! Our family loved everything! Pizza and pasta, but the squid was especially delicious! Thank you so much! I will come back every time!

Great service from very knowledgeable and helpful staff members. The food tasted excellent and made to a high standard. The manager Luigi was very welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Italian meal when in Galway.

I was about to leave a review myself when I noticed the last two reviews, and I could not help but reflect on what I had actually witnessed that evening. Seated at the nearby table, I witnessed a scene quite different from the one later described. The group next to us, four women and one man, behaved rudely toward the staff from the very beginning, complaining excessively and often about things that did not seem justified. The waiter remained polite and patient throughout, despite abrupt replies and disrespectful attitudes. Rather than a failure of service, it felt like a situation exaggerated by guests determined to find fault at every step. As for my own experience, the food and the service were excellent, as always. Sometimes reality, when observed up close, tells a story that is less simple and less one sided.

Was the favorite restaurant of a Galway man on plane and did not disappoint. Loved their vegan pizza and that they offered vegan ice cream as well. Could be nice to add some vegan pasta options with the ingredients available already on hand on the vegan pizza. Just fyi the pasta portions are much smaller than the pizza portions for a similar price so keep that in mind if you hungry

First time having dinner here after many friends recommended it. We had to wait a little but it was worth it. We were welcomed very warmly and even with the restaurant full the service was very fast. Pasta and pizza were excellent and true to Italian standards. Desserts were also very good. It was very nice to see the kitchen staff working and interacting with each other thanks to the open kitchen. The staff were all very kind and attentive, providing great service even though they were very busy. Well done, guys!

The waitress, Emanuela, is very kind and polite, and friendly with everyone. The Italian food is very consistent with authentic Italian cuisine and is very good. Recommended by an Italian.

First time dining there for our second anniversary the food was okay wasn’t anything great definitely wasn’t worth 52 euro for two mains. The pasta was a.bit cold the bottom of the fries were cold aswell. Pizza was okay but isn’t something I would get again.

We love Freddys or Fat Freddys as we know it, a staple Galway restaurant. The food is delicious and a favourite of everyone in the family.
