Freestyle Chinese Cork in Cork

A very simple restaurant. It seemed to me that they were more of a takeout restaurant, and since there was room, they set up tables and chairs. They were very friendly. The portions were generous; one dish is enough. The food was decent; some reviews described it as delicious, but it was over the top. For the price, I wouldn't go back.

Local restaurant at the heart of cork, lovely place to eat. service was excellent and staff were kind, food was delicious and hot, and the music in the restaurant was pleasant.

The chicken satay was delicious. It was a generous portion. It was good value for the price.

The Spice Box was really promising great concept and lovely presentation. With better seasoning, it would easily be a 10/10. However, the satay tasted a bit off, which let the dish down overall. Hoping it was a one off because I’d love to try it again once those flavour issues are sorted.

Chicken wings and chicken fried rice are delicious, staff always welcoming, service is quick, overall 10/10

I ordered an appetizer of spicy squid, it was brought beautifully, but it tasted like bland fatty batter, maybe she can cook other dishes, but I don't recommend squid to you

Delicious food and realy kind waitress

I came here with a friend one evening after wandering around looking for a place to eat — totally unplanned, but it turned out to be a great surprise. I ordered the braised beef noodle, and it completely hit the spot. The beef was tender and full of flavor, perfectly slow-cooked — not dry at all. The noodles had a nice chewy texture, just the way I like them, and the broth was rich and flavorful without being too salty. I honestly couldn’t stop eating. Service was excellent, too. We showed up close to closing time, but the staff were really friendly and didn’t rush us at all. It felt welcoming and relaxed the whole time we were there. The atmosphere was quiet and clean, with plenty of space to sit and talk. Whether you’re dining solo, with a friend, or in a small group, this place works well.

Me and my friends going to the restaurant many times. There is a very good food 🍲. The hot&sour sup is spectacular and the orange duck is the best in all world! 👌 Big portions, good prices, Alice is a very nice lady, staff are very friendly. 😁👌👍🫶
