Have visited on a few occasions, usually for breakfast or brunch. Service generally always prompt and pleasant. Seating arrangements generally feel too claustrophobic, with little space between tables, which brings the atmosphere factor down. Food of a reasonably high standard, but well below expectations given the price points, particularly desserts - portion sizes being disappointingly small given the prices (e9.50). Portion to price ratio here is a big problem. We had an issue with our meal, staff at checkout were disinterested and offered no solution. Overall despite having visited several times, won't be returning.

I absolutely love Gather, the food is absolutely amazing everytime we eat there. We usually go as a family of 4 with 2 young kids and the food is perfect for them too. The staff are always lovely and the atmosphere and decor is soo gorgeous. I highly recommend 🥰

When I am over in Ireland I always book this restaurant. It’s a little gem. The duck croquettes … I can’t stop thinking about. Would also recommend the pork belly delicious. Staff always welcoming and friendly. Can’t wait to go back again!!!❤️🤩😋😋😋

Brunch menu was nice. Staff fairly efficient, getting a bit pricey but with no competition whatsoever it’s not surprising. Note if booking to ask you do not share your dining space on the large table in the middle of the dining area. Pity they don’t open more evenings as there is nothing comparable in the town.

Lovely place to relax and enjoy good food. The place is not too cramped or loud, the food is absolutely delicious, local and in season where possible, and there is a ship and café connected to the restaurant so you can browse quality Irish products like Solaris teas, Voya skin and hair care, tarts and pastries to take home with you, etc. I will definitely come back!

If you're in the mood for real food in a nice atmosphere, Gather is the place to be. There is no greasy fish and chips there, but healthy and balanced food that is beautifully presented. The service is also quick and very friendly.

26/10/2024: Need to say this restaurant is absolutely fabulous and always has been. The normal choices are always available and to an excellent standard but the specials are often to die for. Excellent soups and chowder. The portions of veg and potatoes are generous and to a high standard as is everything. The only place where Cre na Cille has fallen behind is on price. As others increase the cost of eating out to a ridiculous level they have continued to hold prices reasonable and offer great value for money. You will always note the regulars coming back there again and again which points well to the excellence of the establishment. Well done Anne and Paddy
