Absolutely lovely place in the heart of Galway. I love the idea of just walk in during the season and peak hours, the owners is such a lovely lady with great manners and she handles the busy flow from the street with great professionalism. The staff is very polite. Even though it’s a such a busy place you’d feel looked after coming from the street. The food is delicious, nicely served, the steak on the stone really does the job and possibly relieves the chefs in the same time. The fish and mussels are all you need in Galway, lovely and fresh. Highly recommending this place .

This was my first time visiting Gemelle's, and it was a big hit!
First of all, I was impressed by the freshness of the raw oysters. They were plump and packed with the flavor of the sea, which was amazing. Then, the seafood chowder I ordered next was really amazing. It was rich but not heavy, and with plenty of ingredients, it was like a magical cup that "never gets smaller no matter how much you eat it. The bread that came with it was also super delicious, and I couldn't stop eating it when I dipped it in the soup!
What surprised me even more was that **the foam on the Guinness beer was god-level! **It was fine and creamy, and by far the most delicious Guinness I have ever had.
In addition, **the staff were very friendly and approachable, **I was able to relax even though it was my first time.
This is a must-visit restaurant for seafood and beer lovers. I will definitely be back!

Had a beautiful dinner with my husband and son here this evening! The staff couldn’t have been better and the food was outstanding, my husband had the steak and we loved the way it was cooked on the stone at your table to your own liking! Very reasonably priced for the quality of food and the children’s menu was also very reasonable, will be booking again soon.

Delicious food and super good service. Definitely recommend it.
We had the oysters and they were fresh and tasty.
The fish was crispy and perfectly cooked and it even came with a salad. I really appreciated both.
The chowder was also good.
We were a bit crunched on time but that was not an issue they brought our meal quickly and efficiently.
Our Waiters were very nice as well.

Nice little restaurant with good service and delicious food.
Un an après, nous revenons au Gemeles et c’est le même plaisir retrouvé: un accueil chaleureux, une cuisine délicieuse à base de produits frais et locaux, un service attentif et attentionné, un décor plein de charme ! Excellent rapport qualité prix!
Si nous programmons un autre séjour à Galway, c’est sur, nous reviendrons !
