Sat outside along sidewalk, had to order inside at bar for table delivery. Unusual arrangement. But decent pub food and very friendly service.

We went on Saturday 3rd May. Ordered a starter of chicken wings to share and x1 fish and chips, one burger and a kids goujons and chips. Starter was nice, no faults with the food, except the member of staff brought it to the wrong table initially. The fish and chips arrived and no other food. We queried it when about 10 mins went by and the table next to us had their food except one person... I'd gotten their fish and chips. Bear in mind each table has a number for when you order with the staff member. The burger and chicken goujons were OK, but the fish had zero flavour and the batter was 'watery', as if it was frozen. Didn't eat the vast majority. Staff were apologetic about the mix up and gave us 2 soft drinks on the house. Expensive at ~€60 for substandard food.

We came across this place by chance. We were going to Sutton but we got on the "wrong" train. Since we were in Malahide we saw this place with a lot of people and went in to see what it was like. We were surprised by the great service and delicious food.

Cool sports bar with everything that goes with it. TVs with various sports programs all around and walls full of originals. Food (burgers, salads, fish & chips) very good.

Mc Governs

13/05/2025: The steaks are bomb)) and the girls are beautiful, I'm talking about the staff))
04/05/2025: Booked for a Friday evening. Sat outside for a drink. Let the waitress know we had a table booked. Moved inside and noticed McGoverns had emailed me saying we were 15 mins late, which we weren't. We both had a steak, mine the fillet, and my husband, the rib eye. Honestly, this meal was 10 out of 10. I had garlic roast potatoes with mine, and everything I got was so tasty. I had booked other restaurants in Malahide and being honest could have happily dined here for the weekend. Service outside wasn't so great, but inside was a different story, excellent service. We have dined here before, not sure why it's not the number one place to dine in Malahide, in my view the food is delicious. Definitely be back!

Seabank Bistro

04/05/2025: Dining at Seabank Bistro in Malahide was an absolute delight from start to finish. Tucked away in one of Ireland’s most charming coastal towns, this bistro is a true hidden gem for seafood lovers. The menu celebrates the ocean in the most tasteful way — fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I tried the prawns to start . For the main course, the lobster and chef’s linguine with seafood , and beautifully complemented by a medley of seasonal vegetables and a light lemon butter sauce. What truly sets Seabank apart is the atmosphere. With cozy interiors, soft lighting, and a view of the harbour, it’s the ideal setting for both a romantic evening and a relaxed gathering with friends. The staff were exceptional — knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about the food and service. Seabank Bistro doesn’t just serve seafood — it serves memories. A must-visit if you’re in Malahide or anywhere nearby.
04/05/2025: Being on the coast there are not many places to eat good fish. We chose this one because the posts had photos of fish. Well, without further ado, for me monkfish doesn't need that much sauce... it came, as I saw in the photo, "loaded" with sauce... when for a good monkfish, a grill and a little sauce on the side for the customer to manage as they see fit is more than enough.
