Love this pub. Visited for New Year's and the atmosphere was electric! We loved the pipers at midnight for the countdown! Went back for another pint on the 2nd. Gorgeous view and lovely fire lit!

Exactly what we needed on a dreary December day after a hike. Friendly service, typical pub food, but fresh and delicious. The cod and chips were excellent, the clams even better! We'll definitely be back.

We went here after it was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. The food portions are huge but food is delicious. We shared Chicken wings and then each we had the Chicken & Chorizo pasta, Chicken & Mushroom Vol-eu-vants and Seabass.

Great hearty food, really friendly and helpful staff. Service was excellent. We had the curry and vol au vents and both were delicious. Nice view of Clare Island too! No frills type of place, focus is on great quality food and service. We'll come back.

03/10/2025: My mum and I had one of the best meals we've ever had here this past summer and I am praying they have it on the menu next summer (hence the review) It was one of the specials - Seafood pasta. The sauce was perfect with it and the garlic bread really added to the flavour - still dreaming about it now! Please make permanently on the menu next year, we'll come every week!

Achill Cliff House Hotel & Restaurant

16/10/2025: We had originally booked for six, but one of our guests couldn’t make it. Despite the change, the Owner was incredibly accommodating. We dined in the hotel restaurant and had a meal for five, all different dishes and every single dish was excellent! Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, I would highly recommend a visit to their restaurant but book ahead. Overall we had a great weekend on the island and the Achilles Cliff House Hotel was definitely a contributing factor.
30/09/2025: Couldn’t fault our stay in the Achill Cliff house. Bedrooms were big and spacious, beautiful views, lovely and clean. Breakfast was amazing, tried everything throughout our stay. Would recommend the smoked salmon, delicious and the portions were huge ! The hotel itself is located in a very handy spot for the Achill Golf Club, or the beach. Would definitely stay here again. Staff were lovely and very welcoming.
