Glen Tavern in Limerick

Excellent seafood chowder. I had the garlic butter chicken with chips. Hit the spot. Great food.

Excellent food and perfect location in Limerick.

No unnecessary frills. Just the real deal, the simple thing, and the good thing.

We had breakfast here, it was good and not that pricey. The coffee was included in my small breakfast and I think it costed 9~10 €

Great vibe in here, comfortable

It’s funny when it comes to takeaway. Recently I just dined in there, they served decent mushroom soup that comes with 2 slides of brown bread. The fish and chips portion is really huge- but you can taste that the fish is from frozen fish ;( So I can’t finish them and ask for a takeaway. Ridiculous part is they don’t have a takeaway box and they just wrapped the food with aluminium paper:( this really makes the food messy. And so they also recycled back the handy butter which supposedly to be with the bread together . The takeaway experience is bad, I hope they can improve on that.

Stopped here for a break on our way to Kerry. Had a seafood chowder, it was so good that we stopped again on our way back as well.
