Globe Restaurant in Cork

Typical hotel restaurant bar. Pasta bolognaise was marvellous. The city could have been better. The deserts were delicious. I went to this restaurant with my family after it had poured in cork. I would go again.

4 for encouragement but it's a 3 Nice place and very comfortable, it has enormous potential!! Unfortunately, apparently I have to join the other reviews who complain about the service which is actually slow and disorganized. Long wait even just for a beer due to a communication problem, I think, between the room and the counter. I believe that it can be an excellent venue in no small way.

Food was good and staff were polite enough but have to echo other reviews complaining about level of service. Was not greeted at entrance after 5 mins then asked for a table. It was not busy. Would expect regular check ins by servers especially after having a finished plate for 20 mins to ask if anything else needed or the bill. Finally approached cashier on my own and paid and left without staying for dessert or another drink.
