Good Day Deli in Cork

Good food, good location, great service, what more could you want? This café/restaurant is located in the courtyard of a former monastery, accessible via some rather steep stairs. But climbing them is worth it, because Good Day Deli is a true gem. The small and modern hut offers indoor and outdoor seating, and as it was a sunny day, sitting outside in the sun was the best possible option. The brunch menu is rather small, but I'd say you'll definitely find something here. I opted for the pancakes that come with a hibiscus poached pear and coconut mascarpone. Not a big coconut fan but in combination and moderation it was good, and the pancakes were great. Wasn't too impressed with the price of their coffee, though. I was recommended to try this place by locals and it was the very first thing I did after arriving in Cork. Go and try their brunch, it's really an experience!

Good Day Deli is a great spot for a tasty brunch! I had the Turkish eggs with an extra side of halloumi, and the food was absolutely delicious—well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. The only downside was having to sit indoors due to the windy weather, and the acoustics inside made conversation a bit of a challenge since you had to raise your voice to be heard. Still, the food was worth it, and I’d definitely go back!

He estado aquí muchas veces. Las últimas dos visitas, siento que le falta algo. Las explosiones de sabor no están al nivel que estaban. Tengo la caponata y la buratta. Pesto abrumador. Un lugar precioso, pero sin llegar a los puntos altos que hizo por mí. No es barato, así que esperaría algo más elevado.

Amazing tasty food, great service and so cute inside

I loved my experience, beautiful place, amazing food and drinks, I loved the home soda, the polenta cake was incredible, amazing staff. This was my first time there, for sure I'll be back. Thank you all.

Excellent - great team and stunning location

In August 2024 I enjoyed every single time I were at this memorable place, the food, the coffee, the service and atmosphere, all was great. I felt home while I was on my short trip to Cork because of this beautiful place. I would like to say a big thanks for the lovely owner Clare, for being kind and welcoming to her guests. I’ve always enjoyed eating here, but I was disappointed today for the first time, after ordering the Kim Chi eggs. What I received was tasty, but it was not kim chi. It was sauerkraut. I mentioned this to manager, who told me that it was because many customers do not want something spicy. I can understand this, but then why describe it as kim chi? Just call it sauerkraut, then nobody would be disappointed. I will add that the service was great, no complaints there.

Disfrutamos del brunch más increíble ayer en esta joya escondida de un restaurante y en realidad no puedo esperar a volver. Nuestro servidor Kellie era tan agradable y atento y nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos. Compartimos un entrante de brocelos abrasados, ricota batida y miel, que era tan fresco y delicioso. Los principales eran huevos turcos y caballa ahumada, ambos excelentes. Terminamos todo con postres fabulosos - la tarta de limón y una creación de palomitas de maíz. Los vinos orgánicos que se ofrecen complementan la comida perfectamente. Los precios son un poco altos, pero usted obtiene lo que paga! Realmente disfrutamos de toda la experiencia y sin duda recomendaría.
