Granville Hotel in Waterford

Absolutely loved our stay in the granville hotel ,the staff are absolutely amazing and the food is outstanding from bar food to the restaurant, the hotel itself is a wonderful old building that's so warm and comfortable and very convenient to all Waterford has to offer ,we will definitely return to this wonderful hotel and its warm friendly staff.

Stopped in on a busy Sunday evening for dinner. We were worried our party of 3 wouldn’t find a table but there are a number of tables off to the side and rear of the main bar area. If you want bar drinks only, it’s self-serve from the bar. If you’re at a table, they will provide service for food and beverage. The menu has a fairly good number of choices for folks and they had 4 specials of the day listed. As stated, it was busy but the server was around to take our order for drinks and food. Drinks arrived in short order, a small wait on the food but when it arrived, everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. Nice historic charm to the bar/restaurant and the story of Thomas Francis Meagher is told using artifacts, photo’s and storyboards on the walls. We would eat here again. Nice portions, good quality food and reasonable prices.

Grand visit for Fish and Chips and pint of Guinness. Waitress Faith was so attentive and amiable. The Classic Fish and Chips featured cod that was light and tasty. The chips were crispy and flavorful. The mushy peas tasted like the peas came fresh from the garden. Faith treated us to the Irish geographically significant Blaas roll with fresh Irish cream butter. The pub is richly paneled with many intriguing pictures, commemorations and tableaus. This was a great setting for a most grand dining experience!

Always wonderful friendly service here. And thrilled to see a Plant-based breakfast on the menu. A little unusual but extremely tasty.

I only had a beer in the bar so not able to comment on anything else.

Location is near Waterford Factory, Viking Triangle, pics, restaurants, music and water. AC and USB and newspaper. And "welcome chocolates". If you book directly with the hotel, they give you a discount plus free parking in the clocktower parking lot across the way. Really really enjoyed our stay here.

Breakfast was a bit confusing for what seemed to be holiday staff, having to ask for same toast 3 times, when it's suppose to come with your full Irish breakfast is the reason for the 3 star service. Breakfast was finished by the time I received my coffee and ... Toast.

Food is fantastic - service is great and staff very friendly - everywhere is spotless clean - top class

Beautiful and comfortable hotel right in the centre of Waterford. The rooms are spotless and luxurious, expect a really good nights sleep. The breakfast in the morning is the best breakfast in Ireland! Everyone that works there is SO friendly and helpful, makes your stay really special.
