Granville Hotel in Waterford

They did not get their 4 stars for nothing. A gem of a hotel.

Went to the Granville Hotel for a Graduation Celebration in October 2025. Everything was exceptional. The food was delicious, and very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly, helpful, courteous. They had several Gluten Free options. And they were great with a child that was with our party. I would highly recommend.

Great service by Bonnie + Macy. We had delicious fish and chips. Accomodating and friendly. Attentive service, we didn't have to wait long

Really nice hotel...old fashioned charm and service...stayed on a DBB package and ate in the Bianconi restaurant each evening...food and service were excellent. Hotel presented us with a voucher as part of our package...giving us free access into the main attractions in Waterford...including a factory tour at the Waterford Crystal factory..

Fiona, Fionn, Jasmine, Ava, and the entire team at The Granville are a staunch reminder that the hospitality soul in Ireland is above the rest. The hotel itself is LOVELY, perfectly situated for walking to shops, popping out for dinner (or staying in) and has beautiful views from the room. 35 minutes from the Mahon Falls, directly on the Greenway (amazing bike/walking trail +94 miles total), and 25 minutes from the beach, what’s not to love! What sets the Granville apart from any other hotel in the USA is their attention to detail, kindness, and openheartedness. Everyone we met, from the F&B team, to the housekeeping team in the halls, to the lovely crew at the front desk, we were delighted to be greeted like on of their family. They are a green hotel, so all throughout the room are tips and tricks on how to be a more eco-conscious traveler, as well as info on what TGH is doing to reduce their carbon footprint. If you like big box hotels, this isn’t the place for you. I WILL be booking again, and would encourage everyone to do the same - you will not be disappointed.

The best of the hotels in Waterford city. Charming hotel with rooms filled with character. Great location only minutes walk around the corner from shops, cafes and restaurants. There's a carpark across the road which is easy to access and the hotel offer preferential overnight rates while staying there. The food is also very good. They've a loyal clientele of returning customers for their carvery which is always a good sign. I had the fish pie from the evening menu and it was excellent. Staff are always super friendly also.
