Greedy Goose in Malahide

I don’t know where to start about this restaurant. I have been here alone and with groups of 40+ people. The food is the best in the village in my opinion. The staff are incredible and make the experience one of a kind.

What can I say, outstanding, great food, great service, a very very fair price, makes for a perfect night out, I'll be back one way or the other. I'm from out of town but whenever I'm back, I'll be taking time out for the Greedy Goose.

We have had to edit a review that was in place since 02.02.25 - third visit at short notice to the Greedy Goose and it just keeps getting better , the service was excellent and the food was off the charts quality , the reviews and pics don’t do it justice , will definitely be back

From the moment we arrived, at the restaurant we felt so welcome. The staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely caring, making sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with an ambience that made the dining experience a real pleasure. A wonderful experience from start to finish, can’t wait to come back. Definitely deserves a 5 ⭐️ rating.

Loved it. The celeriac soup was divine!

Booked for a 1pm Sunday table. Molly welcomed us. I always have the potato dish to start, which i love. We both had salmon, leek and gratin dishes, which were rich and tasty. I had Southern fried chicken slider with frites, and my husband had the steak with prawns. Usually, we have dessert but just were too full today. One small point the other waitress serving could have done with a clean apron. We were the first table at 1 pm, and I couldn't help but note it was messy looking. Overall, we really enjoyed our food and will return when back in Malahide.

Situated in the upstairs of an old building near the old pier. Not overly large, but still managed to accommodate maybe a dozen tables. Tapas style fare, all the dishes sampled being tasty and first rate. Very helpful and pleasant staff, despite being short-handed, one of the waitresses suddenly taking ill. Decent wine selection, though not sampled. Not a budget option, but worth it for a quality experience.
