Green Spice was our destination on a Monday at the end of September. The restaurant is small, with lots of mirrors and floral wallpaper. The menu of Indian dishes had something for everyone. Chicken, lamb, seafood or vegetarian. Different levels of spiciness. The meal was excellent. As a greeting from the kitchen there was papadum with three different dips. However, the beer is very expensive. A pint of copra costs €10. We can recommend this restaurant.

Review is for takeout…. Fantastic food but never enough meat for the cost. 4/5 pieces of lamb, chicken, prawn etc is not enough. It would be 5 stars except for that. Very good flavours etc. Yum!

Aunque éramos las únicas personas en el restaurante, la comida era muy buena, y el servicio era excelente. Supongo que los no turistas en Irlanda no comen mucho el miércoles en pueblos pequeños. Pide la parrilla mixta de tandoori.

Lekker food collection

12/01/2025: You need to pop in here when you homesick....Great vibe and so much South African love!
11/01/2025: I don't usually review many places but I really loved my experience here. My friends brought me to Lekker yesterday. I've had plenty of SA food over the years, being lucky enough to have been invited to many Braais over the years and I was excited to try more dishes. We went in and were greeted by a hilarious host, very charming and lovely. When I asked for the Bunny Chow, I was asked if I would like it spicy, which is always a great request. I said yes and she had a look of quiet approval. When it came out, the presentation was amazing, the hollowed out loaf of absolutely incredible bread that I've never had before, was stuffed with the best beef curry I've ever tasted. Rich, full of wonderful seasonings and coupled with potatoes that were perfectly cooked. Beautiful. As we were paying I saw all the Parisian style pastries that blow Irish baked goods out of the water. I had to grab a few. A class Bailey's cheesecake pattiserie. What a wonderfully strange, incredible addition to the town. A South African, specifically Durban-Indian fusion with a Parisian Pattiserie section. Amazing. It's a shame it's a bit of a drive away from me, but I'll 100% be back. Thank you.
