Harbour Restaurant in Donegal

I'll give 5 stars for the food alone. Had an amazing wok Chicken and noodle dinner because I wanted a change from burgers and chips. Food was stellar, but staff was meh. Not super friendly or warm, but the food made up for it.

The place was one of the few open in the city, so it was very crowded. Despite this, they immediately seated us and took our order. Only then did they make us wait 45 minutes! Overall, the food was decent, and the staff was kind and friendly.

Good food, main courses were delicious, the place was busy and noisy. Desserts were unimpressive.

An excellent restaurant, one of the few that still accommodates late-bird tourists like us after 8:00 p.m., serving truly coastal dishes like steamed mussels, spiced prawns, and fish cakes. Quiet atmosphere, super-efficient service.

Enjoyed roast Beef - roast Turkey and Ham with mashed potatoes with roasted vegetables... would have preferred green vegetables rather than carrots and parsnip...

I ordered the veggie wok-fried stir-fry and really enjoyed it, fresh vegetables with a nice balance of flavour without feeling too heavy. My meat-eating friends, however, found their dishes a bit much. The seafood chowder and fish in white wine sauce were both quite rich, and the shepherd’s pie was also on the heavier side. If you’re looking for something lighter, I’d definitely recommend the stir-fry. Waiter was nice!

Delicious dinner and excellent service. We dined at Harbour Restaurant and Bar in Donegal and had an excellent experience. We ordered the salmon, which was exquisite, and a sirloin cooked to perfection. The restaurant was full, so it’s best to book ahead. The service was wonderful, especially from Shaun, who was absolutely charming. Highly recommended.

Personnel simpatique, mais cuisine sans plus, cadre agréable et plats pas copieux et assez chers. Prévoyez plat et une pint pour minimum 30€.

Amazing staff and ambience. We didn't book a table, but passing their door, we decided to try them on the off chance, awaiting disappointment because it was so busy. The staff were welcoming, finding us a table despite being just 10 minutes before last fpod orders. They gave menu information readily and in a friendly, warm manner. The food was beautiful with a nice range of vegetarian options, all reasonably priced. We will definitely return soon. Thank you.
