Helen's is my home away from home. I am just back from a week long stay there. The food is great with super fresh local seafood. Great pints, very friendly staff and Helen is an amazing woman who greets every single patron, works morning, day and night and has become a great friend. I would venture to say she is the reason so many people come back repeatedly.

What a cozy little restaurant in a godforsaken place by the ocean; the food was good, fresh, and well-presented, the atmosphere extremely pleasant, and it was packed within fifteen minutes, so be on time.

We have always loved Helen's Bar. The food is superb and great value. 🦐🦀 Now we have discovered a great new way to enjoy the experience, we are welcome to bring our motor home and stay on the premises, enjoying walks before and after a wonderful dinner. Millie the dog enjoyed it too.🐶 Thank you Helen. 🙏

06/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible dining experience at John J. Burke's in Clonbur! The food was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. We had the burgers, which were cooked to perfection and packed with flavour. My daughter had the fish and chips, and she said it was one of the best she's ever had. We couldn't leave without trying dessert, and we're so glad we did! From the rich chocolate brownie to the freshly made cheesecake, everything was homemade and simply delicious. Honestly, it's some of the best food we've had since dining in Michelin-starred restaurants in Abu Dhabi. The quality, freshness, and attention to detail were exceptional. The atmosphere was just as wonderful as the food, with traditional Irish music creating the perfect warm and welcoming setting. A huge compliment to everyone at John J. Burke's. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Clonbur! Thanks again Steven, Alison Willow from Donegal ❤️

20/08/2026: I came by chance to this pub / restaurant and honestly, the food was worth every penny. The meat is exquisite, as well as the side (home made crispy onions, mushrooms and potato chips). If you wanna have a good piece of beef, you are at the right place.
14/08/2026: Driving from Dublin to cork and stopped here. Absolutely great spot, lovely food , great staff and reasonably priced. And if ye cant find something you like on the menu, which is quiet varied, then get back in your car and cook it yourself when ye get home.
