Hennellys Bar in Gort

This is the first mosto in Ireland where I felt unwanted. The young man behind the bar seemed quite unpleasant. For every beer we had to push our way through people sitting at the bar. I didn't like it here very much. I was here during my holiday. Everyone around is kinder and nicer. The only nice thing is the burning fireplace. PS: In the end, the lady who replaced me saved it a bit, but you only make a first impression once.

We stopped for a pint in Gort and struck up a convo with some locals about an ancestral home (with sketchy details) but they knew what we were talking about and even looked up the phone number of an old-timer who could fill in some gaps! What a thrill (and the bar was quite fun, too; the horse-racing was on the telly!)
