Hilliard's Killarney in Killarney

Great food and very nicely finished restaurant, let down by the hospitality. We ordered food and just after it arrived asked to order another drink but told we weren’t allowed as the bar was closing.. imagine serving food and not allowing customers to have a drink! The staff then proceeded to start cleaning and turning lights off, including in the loo so I had to use my phone torch 😅 Great food but misleading service.

I booked Hilliards for a hen party of 24 on Saturday evening, and it was a fantastic choice! Madga and Ciara were wonderful to deal with beforehand, helping us decide on the food options and arranging a welcome cocktail for the guests. The food was incredible, and the service was top-notch throughout the night. We initially tried to book Reidys, the go-to spot in Killarney, but it was fully booked and they recommended Hilliards instead. I'm so glad it worked out this way, as Hilliards felt much less cramped and had a more upscale vibe!

This place deserves 5 stars We had a little incident on Mother’s Day. Took my partner to a luxurious hotel for lunch , we travelled from Dublin for 5 hours and she loves Killarney. The hotel let us down with the reservation and we had no where to go. I called Hilliards and explained our situation and they said they can work us in if we took a specific table. They gave complimentary Prosecco and strawberries to all mothers to celebrate the day The staff were just wonderful, smiles all round and always checking in. They didn’t mind giving some suggestions for us regarding drinks etc. Would really recommend A lovely spot and wonderful staff

Please bring back the Nicoise style salmon! It's the best salmon dish I've ever had and am disappointed it's no longer on the menu. Would love to try it again. Hilliards is very expensive, so not somewhere you can dine too often. Can't argue with the food quality though, it's always beautiful.

Pulled pork carnitas were excellent. Really enjoyed the restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience! The food was out of this world. The pork ribs as starter was delicious. There are big portions of gorgeous homemade sauces. The blue cheese steak is perfect. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I can't wait to go back! We didn't have to reserve over a week in advance and managed to get a 4pm slot. So plan ahead!
