Hole in the Wall in Kilkenny

What a find…. When my friends and I passed the blackboard sign at the top of a dark lane way I wasn’t exactly expecting what we found. A great night of craic stories and song where you leave knowing everyone’s name. A memorable evening and great Guinness!

A hidden gem of a pub,delighted to find this place,very small at the bar but the staff are amazingly unique folk singing songs and playing music while entertaining guests..I had a great evening there meeting people and enjoying life..Cash only… ⭐

Tiny but the owner is very friendly and never runs out of anecdotes to tell, whatever the country of origin of the customers.

Always a wonderful night at the Hole in the Wall. Whether the owner Dr. Michael is tending bar or any of his employees you’re in for some wicked fun craic if you linger near the bar. Great and varied music upstairs too - last night was Irish trad lads who told stories between songs, last year it was a group of teens who I’d liken to a young Led Zeppelin!
