Overpriced, €18.50 for french toast and bacon which was cold when it arrived. Staff and atmosphere lovely, I'd like to be able to say that made up for the price but €18.50 stings no matter what way you look at it, when most places would charge €12 for this brunch option.

Hook & Ladder on Sarsfield Street is a wonderfully welcoming and comfortable restaurant that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, perfect for anything from a casual coffee to a leisurely lunch. The food is consistently fresh and full of flavour, clearly made from top-quality ingredients and with real care in the kitchen. One of the nicest touches is being able to see the chefs at work — their open kitchen setup adds a lovely sense of transparency and confidence, especially since everything is spotless and well-organised. The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive, creating a pleasant, easygoing dining experience that keeps you wanting to come back. Overall, Hook & Ladder Sarsfield Street is a true gem in the city, combining great food, cleanliness, and top-class service in a cozy, modern space.

So good we visited twice. Food was amazing and the service was great. The wait in staff had a great manner and had typical Irish craic! A must if you visit and want a nice breakfast or brunch.
