Small breakfast selection, I was missing one or two things. Otherwise a very nice café, centrally located. The wine selection is large and the menu has a lot more to offer at lunchtime and in the evening than in the morning ;)

I'm not in Sligo town often but when I am I make sure to pay a visit to hooked. It's a fantastic dining and service experience. I had the battered fish and chips today it was amazing. The staff were friendly attentive and helpful. Thank you , I'll be back !

My friends and I loved the decor and location of Hooked. Lively, chill decorations, a very friendly vibe, make it a good place to visit. I had the fish tacos, tasty and filling. I only found 1 issue (a personal one), it needed a bot of acid (maybe lime) or a bit of hot sauce, otherwise excellent.

Top class, sometimes portions can be a bit small for a grump like myself but the food is always fresh and lovely. Never get tired of looking at the ceiling. Staff are always friendly, food is quick out which is great. Put a full Irish on the menu too.

I had the most beautiful haddock and chips here today whilst on a trip. It was the tastiest fish I've had as a coeliac. The girls were so accommodating and kind. They gave me so much of their rime when I asked questions about sligo and it had the warming hospitality I needed when arriving in a new place for the first time. Thankyou so much for your service and kindness. What a lovely afternoon I had there x

09/11/2024: This hotel deserves fives across the board. I've only tried the food so far and it's fabulous! From the presentation to the taste to the reasonable price, it's perfect! Location hits the spot - next to the river in the center of the town. Easy 5 stars.
04/11/2024: Spotless clean food top quality staff could not do enough for us very relaxing views from our room of river have stayed b4 plenty of car parking handy for town

11/09/2024: It's fifty years since I last ate in this Sligo institution, and it was delightfully old fashioned even then. I was amazed to find it unchanged! The decor is lovely, with an airy cafe feel, though they've added a little extension. Packed to the door with locals - always a good sign - we were lucky to get a table. (It got a lot quieter at 2pm as everyone returned to work.) I wasn't expecting much, but the food really does taste homemade ! Quite how they manage this I don't know. We had the steak & mushroom pie and the glazed ham. Both great value for money. We highly recommend Lyons cafe for lunch.
06/07/2024: Met family members for brunch, we all had the Irish breakfast, both meaty and vegetarian versions. All delicious, 5 clean plates. Recommended.
