Hooked in Sligo

Had lunch here last saturday,had heard great things about this resturant,and it did not disappoint.my hubby had the haddock and chips,i had the brisket on sourdough with poached eggs,absolutely delicious.service was great,staff are really friendly

THE FISH AND CHIPS YOU'D EXPECTED Beautiful place, with a typical menu and reasonable prices. Menu: Variety within a typical local establishment. Vegan and children's options are also available. The fish and chips are pure marvel. Atmosphere: Wonderful decor Service: Decent. They won't die of stress, but they won't keep you waiting. Location: Centrally located Price: Very reasonable at €25 per person. Desserts alone are on the high side at €9.

Delicious food, excellent value, and truly friendly service. I highly recommend it, especially for those looking for a great experience in the heart of the city.

Vastly overrated. Fish and chips are below average in both quantity and quality. The price is the same in all pubs/restaurants in Sligo (€21) and significantly above the average price in Ireland. Luckily, there's a pint of Guinness, which is a guaranteed drink throughout the country. I'm giving the food 3 stars only because the goat's cheese salad was good.

A riverside restaurant with a diverse atmosphere, full of humor and simple but quality cuisine. We had a very pleasant time.

The staff were friendly. The food was mostly good. The leafs of my salad were soggy….

We had the Malaysia Baba's Chicks Chicken Curry, and it was truly a culinary delight. A slight spiciness, rounded off with coconut—an overall umami flavor. Absolutely delicious. It was the best meal of our road trip through Ireland, and the stop in Sligo was our fifth. We highly recommend it! We would definitely sit inside again; the ambiance is truly unique: for example, a rowboat on the ceiling and lots of floral decorations.

On a déjeuné chez Hooked et c’était top — super ambiance, plats délicieux, et une équipe très sympa. J’ai pris le poulet frit coréen : bien croustillant, plein de saveurs et juste ce qu’il faut de piquant. Le burger Chick Fil A était aussi excellent — poulet bien juteux, fromage fumé, salade croquante, et le tout dans un pain brioché bien moelleux. Le plat venait avec des frites et une salade maison bien fraîche. L’ambiance est détendue et agréable, et on sent vraiment l’attention portée aux produits locaux et de qualité. Anthony, le propriétaire, est super accueillant et nous a donné plein de conseils sur quoi faire et voir à Sligo. On sent qu’il adore sa ville et qu’il veut vraiment la faire découvrir aux visiteurs. On reviendra avec plaisir !

We had breakfast here and it was the best breakfast we had in Sligo so far! Great food, amazing service! A must visit in Sligo.
