Nice place and location. The Lough Gill English IPA was delicious. Fish and chips were bad however. Chips were ok but the fish is probably amongst the worst I’ve ever had. Very small portion with not much meat on it - really just a lot of batter - and so I was still hungry afterwards. Disappointing for €20. My wife had the chicken burger and said it wasn’t great.

My order was Sandwich of the day and Hot Chocolate. Sandwiches took maybe 5-10 minutes to be prepared, came pretty warm and crunchy, with a side of salad. All ingredients in said sandwich blended together beautifully. Side of salad was basic, but I didn't expect much from it. Hot chocolate was probably the tastiest I've ever tried. I'd say the whole meal is worth 12.90 I've paid for it. I give this restaurant 4.5/5. Half of the point was deducted due to extremely cramming toilet. I understand that space efficiency is a problem in a not so big building. However, when toilet's door is pushing against sink, you have to do something about it. Overall, would recommend

Very nice, cozy and beautifully decorated. The food was great!

Great food in casual setting overlooking river. I had mushrooms on sourdough toast which was exceptionally good. I had a glass of very good chilean merlot which was a perfect pairing... simple but delicious
