Horseshoe Bar & Restaurant in Listowel

We had lunch at the horse shoe bar and restaurant today, food was delicious. My sister is coeliac and she was able to have the full meal as it was all gluten free,the soup, panfored chicken breast and the sauce as well. Very impressed as it is difficult for her to get tasty food when she is out that is gluten free nearing on Monday she is very sensitive. Well done and thank you .

My husband and I stopped here on the way to Killarney. Ordered the soup of the day - a vegetable puree that was tasty, served with a slice of brown bread. Decided to share the lamb stew, since we didn’t want to overload ourselves. The stew was more of a soup, broth was light, lamb was tender, came with a big plop of mashed potatoes. Overall tasty but not my favorite dish. Service was great, paid the bill at the bar. Don’t know if it left such a great impression that I would visit again.

Excellent spot. Well located in center of lovely Listowel in Ireland. Party of 5 for dinner - food was beautiful - served hot and plentiful. Service excellent Highly recommend
