Hotel Kilmore in Cavan

I stayed 2 nights for business. Hotel rooms were clean and comfy. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was OK, but nothing special. Although the coffee machine made really nice coffee. Happy with my experience.

Beautiful hotel. THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Our room the first night unfortunately had a bad smell. (Plumbing problem). The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and moved us to a second room without hesitation. We will most definitely be back for future family functions. 100% recommend.

The meal was fresh and delicious!

What a lovely week we spent here. The staff were lovely, so helpful and accommodating and the food was fantastic. The only reason I didn't give 5* is we went when it was very hot and there's no air-conditioning- though they provided a fan.

So pleased to see this hotel still thriving. My parents first visited in the late 80's, and stayed there several times over 5 successive trips. I was fortunate to accompany them on bits of three of those trips. They would base there and take day trips to Cavan town where they got to know a local Garda, and then go research mom's family in the surrounding area. Staff was always pleasant. The most wonderful memories are of having tea and sandwiches in the hall, and watching wedding parties arrive! On one occasion, we were even invited in to dance and have hor's douvres. (They were delicious! ) It looks magnificent! Congratulations.

Just had lunch in the hotel with my aunts, fabulous hake for lunch, excellent staff, very good covid procedures. I was back on 14th Dec and called in for lunch/dinner, had amazing fish and chips, super helpful staff. Plan to return soon

The hotel is great, friendly staff as you'd expect. Nice rooms, cozy lobby and of course a fantastic bar area called "The Killykeen Bar". Photo attached is an apple pie with vanilla ice-cream and custard sauce, couldn't have done it any better! Overall, easy 5 star for everything.
