My wife and I found out about this place and it was amazing. both of us are keto eaters and they were very accommodating. The had fresh bacalava in the fridge. We felt like we were back in turkey/Greece. The food was very fresh and a fast service . The portion was huge. Highly recommend.

Dam tastey autentic Turkish shawarmas/kebabs grilled to perfection. Its proper Turkish food and not just slapped together kebabs. Nice that they have grilled veg skewer too. All at a decent price. I got a grilled chicken skewer mean for €15.95.

This place is awesome and a literal 'hidden' gem. We go here regularly. Prefer to 'eat in' over delivery or takeaway - texture is much better that way.

We had a mixed kebab naan wrap and veg& halloumi naan wrap and chips. Everything was absolutely delicious! Staff is very nice and helpful We will definitely be back next time we are in Kilkenny!

05/05/2026: Stayed in one of the rooms above the 0ub and visited a few times for drinks, we had a wonderful time. Perfect Guinness, and Manhattan crisps if you have a preference. Good craic when j sat at the bar before heading to bed

16/10/2025: Wedding Venue of our dreams!! Wow! I can’t recommend the Avalon highly enough! Laura is a phenomenal wedding organiser who listens to your vision and brings it to life! She feels like a friend straight away who is fully invested in the day! Peter and Laura then make sure the day runs perfectly, remaining calm and positive throughout! The Avalon is the perfect place for a private wedding where you are the priority for the whole hotel! They could not have been more supportive! I can’t thank them enough for the most perfect day! All of our guests loved it commenting on the gorgeous food, friendly staff and homely rooms!
