Had dinner here last night and it was wonderful! The food was amazing and all of the staff members were friendly. We also were very impressed that almost 100% of the menu could be made gluten free. That was a big plus in our book. Would definitely eat here again if we ever get the chance to visit.

We found it on the way, looking for another restaurant, since the one we'd entered was chaotic. It wasn't very busy because it was so close to closing time, but surprise, their dishes are delicious; they take great care in their plating. Congratulations! The lights they were hanging on the glass racks really gave it a special touch.

Dromoland Castle

03/11/2025: Everything about this castle is magnificent. The older section (reception, restaurant, bar) is sumptuous. Breakfast is exceptional in the castle's grand hall. The grounds are equally impressive (forest with deer, lake with the option to rent a boat for fishing, golf for enthusiasts).
01/11/2025: I’ve been to some nice hotels over the years, but the stand out feature of Dromoland Castle for me, is not the facility (which is super) but the staff. You would expect them to be professional, but they are far more than that. They are characters. Whoever manages this fine hotel, do not change how you recruit and train your staff. In the short two days I spent there, the staff were standout and good crack. Not overly drilled or devoid of personality. Rory in the bar epitomised this, but was not alone . All staff were happy and engaged. Congratulations.

24/10/2025: A retired Aussie couple living the dream, we found Foleys Bar and Restaurant one evening, and it was so good, that we went for dinner twice! I couldn't resist writing a quick limerick to summarise our visit. Here goes: We called into Foleys Bar, The best in the area by far, Fidelus' Irish stew, Is sure to please you, It's definitely worth 5 Star Thanks to the entire team at Foleys for great drinks, great food, and outstanding hospitality.
