Excellent food on the sea with a beautiful sunset. The hake with mashed potatoes and tartar sauce was delightful. The roasted beetroot and walnut salad with raspberry sauce was also anazing

Stopped in after walking the city. Early afternoon dinner was great, Window table overlooking the lovely harbor. The four of us all enjoyed our drinks and meals. Nice chat with manager while paying bill. Ended up talking about our American NFL football 🏈 teams and left him my Green Bay Packers hat. Just felt like it was the least I could do.

Jacobs Ladder offers a great dining experience with scenic views and delicious food. We enjoyed a flavorful beef burger and a well-prepared seafood linguini. The staff were friendly, adding to the pleasant atmosphere, but we weren't informed that we had to pay at the cashier ourselves. A small detail, but worth noting. Overall, a lovely spot for a meal!

Should take full advantage of position and up date it’s look . Clean but oh so bland in decor and furniture. Hate frozen chips especially for price . Hubby enjoyed his beef so there was an up side . Service fine and prompt .

The food was very delicious, well prepared. We couldn't eat the variety of fish and seafood because it was Monday, a shame. We had fish and chips and the fish was very juicy and the batter was perfect. The chicken wings are also very good. The chilli prawns were a little bland, but well served. Very good desserts. The best service from the staff, The price is quite adequate.

01/07/2025: We discovered this wonderful pub during our Ireland road trip and what a fantastic find it was! The Anchor Bar is tucked away on a steep street, well off the beaten tourist path - which is exactly what makes it so special. This is where you experience authentic Irish pub atmosphere: cozy and rustic with beautiful maritime décor that perfectly suits Cobh. But the absolute highlight is the stunning view over the bay - simply breathtaking! The prices are very reasonable and the barkeeper (a genuine Liverpool fan) was incredibly warm and welcoming. We had wonderful conversations not only with him but also with the other locals - these are the moments that create the best travel memories. Anyone visiting Cobh who wants to experience an authentic Irish pub away from the tourist crowds should definitely stop by here. Highly recommended!

14/09/2023: The food was okay, the chicken wasn't great it was like jello, awful texture, taste wasn't too bad I guess. The duck was nice, noodles bit dry and starters were lovely, the spring rolls and prawn toast I really enjoyed. Wouldn't come back again though.
19/07/2023: If you're an asian food fanatic and want to satisfy your craving even in Cobh, you must visit this place. Firstly the place is very accessible and just next to the Deck of cards view point. Secondly the place has ample options to choose from and third the taste is exquisite. Loved their chilli garlic chicken. The chicken cheese rolls are a perfect starter. You get all the options from dry starters to curries and rice. Excellent place for travellers to grab lunch or dinner after sight seeing.
