The girl who took the order was very polite, attentive, tactful, and patient. The order was processed quickly, but it felt like it was being done by an apprentice. It was disappointing. We won't be ordering anything from here next time we're in Athlone.

29/08/2023: Nice, rustic restaurant with numerous niches. Food was excellent as was the pint. Service very friendly...gladly again.
27/07/2023: Nice bar, had the chowder, it's a starter, but it was filling, superb flavour, great mix of shellfish. There was more than enough to keep most people going.

14/02/2026: We had an amazing dinner on Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was beautifully prepared and decorated for the occasion, creating a lovely and romantic atmosphere. The service was excellent — attentive and professional — and the food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming place in Athlone town centre. We’ll definitely be back!
08/12/2025: Good sambo and coffee but there’s actually no river view.
