Jim Edwards in Kinsale

Went for an evening meal. Food was average. Service was transactional with serving staff not engaging or particularly interested in their customers. It may help if a singular member of staff were allocated to a certain set of tables to try to create some connection. We got a different person at each stage of the meal. We didn't leave a tip...

We stayed at Jim Edwards for two nights while in Kinsale. Convenient location right in the center of town. Spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed, simple furnishings. Fan provided (or open the window!) it can get warm. Radiator heat in the room and bathroom. Door a bit squeaky on open and close. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check in and out was easy. Great option for central location to explore what Kinsale has to offer.

Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms in the middle of Kinsale. Above an excellent pub (for food and drink). Room could do with tea/coffee facilities.

Hubby and I stopped in for a meal and were not disappointed. The oysters with the lemon butter sauce were delicious and the seafood au gratin was amazing.

Food was absolutely amazing, we had Starters 12/10 Beetroot & Goats cheese salad Chicken wings Mains Duck with spring onion mash Duck with noodles (special) Highly recommend

Always hits the spot. Best Gastro food in Kinsale. Offer Gluten Free options too.

Pleasant seaside pub with very good fish and chips

Amazing food, very tasty. Had few starters and not disappointed. Lots of flavours. Good Guinness and cocktails. Staff very friendly

We stopped in for a drink and food after walking to the nearby castle. Great atmosphere with fire going and 6 nations rugby on (not overpowering) . Really good calamari as a starter special and fish and chips good too. Of course with a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine and a French merlot for my husband. A great break in a very pretty town.
