Great local pub, with plenty of room inside and typical decor. The staff are very friendly, even when France wins the Six Nations in the last second, causing Ireland to lose (sorry).

25/05/2026: I tried a sausage roll with black pudding. It was a fantastic modern twist on a traditional Irish flavor. It was freshly baked and fragrant, the dough was crispy, and it was generously filled. Locals were coming in one after another to buy them, and I loved the homey atmosphere. 06/08/2026: Thank you to Helen who went above & beyond in helping us today.
03/08/2026: I think I've just about gotten over the fact that this building previously housed the wonderful Roches Stores, however this Marks and Sparks is an excellent department store with a particularly excellent food section. good. Nice cafe on first floor, but no toilets there. Staff are a mix of indifferent and very helpful. Great central location in the city.
