Authentic old Irish pub. Places like this are disappearing fast, mores the pity. Lovely pint of Guinness and friendly barmaid. Would loved to have stayed longer but I will be back soon.

Bungalow Bar

07/01/2025: Great country pub serving a lovely pint of Guinness. Bar staff are attentive, a lovely fire keeping the place warm and sporting events on the TV's. What more could a visitor from Australia ask for.

Café Ruoge

14/06/2025: Cafe Rua is rarely quiet and for good reason. Never less than imaginative, with a twist of orthodoxy thrown in - the food here really is delicious. The service and warmth of the welcome is second to none. This restaurant is a credit to Castlebar and Mayo. We look forward to visiting it every time we are in Mayo.
