We called for lunch.. got great attention from chef when we requested gluten free options..two very tasty hot fish pie, freshly cooked and a portion mash.good price and service.. definetly call again. Thank you...

Good bar food overall, with ok menu. The whole place is very noisy, especially the TV. Not a place to go for a quiet meal. If you are a sports fan and do not mind the background noise, this is the spot for you.

07/01/2025: The ambience and structural character of this multi-faceted space is perfect for my way to travel. I love the old buildings with all of their quirks and quaint spaces. Pack light! There is no elevator! :)
29/12/2024: Great service. I had the beef Shepard’s pie. Unfortunately it was bland and from what I could see was 75% mash on top of a bed of minced beef with a few bits of carrot. No evidence of a stock or herbs from what I could see. I didn’t finish it. Chicken burger looked good but those that had it were unimpressed. For the prices, we expected better but came away disappointed. Fish dishes had mixed reviews. One positive, one fair and one negative.

15/09/2024: ….und sicher das Beste in Portmagee… Sehr nette Hospitality durch den Service… Immer äußerst gut besucht… Seafoodchowder ausgezeichnet… Fish & Chips nicht in Bierteig, sondern paniert ist leider nicht mein Geschmack….Fleischqualität beim Ribeye…naja…das geht anderswo in Irland um Einiges besser… Fazit: gemütliche klassische Pubatmosphere mit Licht & Schatten… Aber immer eine Empfehlung wert…
08/07/2024: We had breakfast here. The selection and preparation were all perfect. Service was prompt And efficient. Exactly what a traveler on a grand tour needs! It was a breakfast that pleased and prepared us for a busy day. Coffee was delicious. Eggs so fluffy and accompaniments so yummy.
