We were very disappointed. We booked a table by the window in advance to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we arrived, no one acknowledged the reservation – the bartender simply directed us to the pub area and we were seated randomly. So what’s the point of asking for a name and details when booking, if no one bothers to check or care? The food was also disappointing. The duck from the daily menu was tough, dry, and hard to chew – it tasted like reheated leftovers. Not once did anyone come over to ask if the food was okay or if we needed anything. The service was cold, and the staff showed no interest in the customer experience. For that reason, we didn’t leave a tip. We won’t be coming back, and we won’t recommend this place to anyone.

Didn’t stay at hotel. Ate at bar twice. Excellent food. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

Sunday lunch for 4 hours was decent but like all gastro pubs/restaurants, it was overpriced The staff, in particular the man who seemed to be in charge could do with lessons in communication and good customer service HOWEVER it was the €1 charged per glass for diluted orange was the last straw AVOID there are much better restaurants out there

A beautiful bar, restuarant and hotel. Staff are attentive, polite and very willing and keen to ensure you fully enjoy your stay and that you enjoy the food that you eat. Bar staff are also first class. Hotel rooms are beautiful and spacious and very clean. Would most definitely recommend you visit even be it for just a meal or for drinks in the bar.

Beautiful food and great service

Well decorated, lively restaurant that served great food which was well presented and served quickly. Would definitely recommend visiting this spot if you are touring along the Shannon.

We loved our balcony room overlooking the River Shannon! Someone said it was kind of like being in a cruise ship! The room was well appointed and the breakfast was phenomenal.

Close to Tarmoobally lock, beautiful to sit and watch the boats go down the River Shannon

This is a lovely small hotel on the Shannon. The place was buzzing when we arrived there on a Saturday evening. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was top class, with a bathrobe and lovely Irish owned toiletries in the room. The breakfast was top class with plenty of choice. Will definitely be back.

What a find this beautiful hotel was. We stayed for 3 nights and it certainly didn't disappoint. The owners were very friendly as was their super friendly staff. They even had a safe an secure storage for my bike. The room was beautiful looking out over the river/lake. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfast each morning was superb with a wide range to choose from and a freshly cooked hot breakfast as well. The outside area was a treat and comfortable helped by the sunny weather we experienced. Thanks to the owners for their hospitality and to your staff. You must be super proud of them all. We'll definitely be back.
