Kilcooly's Country House in Ballybunion

Just had drinks here, what a wonderful staff. Great night was had.

Last minute overnight stayover here was accommodated with a direct to hotel booking. Lovely traditional style family-run hotel. Great town centre location, but yet very quiet. Food in the bar was excellent, breakfast is a nice menu based offering. A genuine warmth about the place, without being over fussy or fake.

Amazing place in an awesome little beach town. The place is really cute and is in a beautiful location. The staff is friendly and are excellent hosts, the restaurant has excellent food (especially the seafood!!). The bar stays open really late and has live music. We stayed a night and wished we stayed longer!

This place is awesome, I wish I had gotten to stay and explore even longer. We ate dinner here and the food alone is great. The staff at both hotel and restaurant were friendly and competent. They also had good advice about sightseeing- not that you particularly need advice to see something cool in this area. Me and my friend blundered around blindly after we checked out the gorgeous beach and found a fun pub with a live band- all a short walk away from this hotel. When we got tired of being out there was a party we weren’t even expecting going on at this place with more live musicians doing traditional stuff. The rooms are cute and there’s a big fancy staircase- if you’ve seen stuff like this before it might not be as big of a wow factor but I have not and I felt like I was in a movie in there. We really liked the room too- my only minor gripe is how the shower is set up to splash water all over but it’s a minor gripe compared to all that’s good and not even worth knocking half a star off for me.

Great Irish vibe, nice restaurant on site and John, our host was terrific.
