Quiet rooms even though it is very centrally located. Stayed for 2 nights. Arrived back in the evening to find the room had not been locked after it was cleaned. On the day checking out there was no hot water. No solution was offered. Management contacted me after my stay to apologise for my experience. Judging by other reviews this was an isolated case and hopefully will not happen again.

Great hotel in the centre of Kilkenny with safe car parking opposite. Staff very friendly and professional. Delighted when we arrived this our 2nd time this year to have been given an upgrade.

I flew into the Ormonde this morning on my way to work to purchase a cup of coffee and had the absolute pleasure of meeting Jack who went out of his way to make the experience as pleasant as possible. He brought me out to the lounge and made a coffee which could only be described as a 10/10. His customer service goes above and beyond the expectation of 7 am 🥰

A large hotel in the centre of Kilkenny with nice large foyer, lounge bar, spa area and nearby parking. I've stayed a number of times and have found service/quality consistent. Good meals if needed but Kolkenny has plenty of options, a well provided breakfast and good waiting staff. In all a good choice for a city centre stay.

Great location. Room was clean. Beds not terribly comfortable. When he sat on the bench in the room, my husband got pricked by a rusty gross nail that was sticking straight out of the bench. We informed the front desk of this and they seemed nonplussed. Not sure if they ever followed up to fix it to ensure other people weren't hurt. Bathrooms are dated but comfortable. For the price we paid to stay here, we expected more friendly service from the people behind the desk at the aquatics centre. They mostly seemed to view us as an inconvenience. The kids liked the pool. Breakfast was expensive and not worth it for what you get. Better off getting breakfast in a lovely café in Kilkenny for the same price and likely better food and atmosphere.
