What a great experience in a friendly hotel for a yoga retreat.
The rooms were clean with daily water supplied in the room. Great food, excellent service from all the staff and there was even a comedian on staff to give us a laugh. Accommodating with vegan meal choices.great view from my room of the garden area. The view was spectacular from where we did yoga upstairs. The spa had excellent service also. Walking trails are close by which was good.Bike trails

Expensive for what you get. One of the hotels with old dirty carpets and to get to the room you need to go through a labyrinth of doors. The family room was good in size but dont move the bed as the will reveal more dust. Fortunately we had a window to the garden/river, so the room was not that dark. Breakfast is booked for a time. Coffee/tea is extra???

A Truly Uplifting Escape in the Heart of Co. Clare
From the moment we arrived at the Killaloe Hotel and Spa, we knew we were in for something special. Nestled in one of the most picturesque parts of County Clare, the hotel offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and genuine Irish hospitality.
Special thanks to Ellen in Room Bookings, who made the entire process seamless and warm from the outset. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor set the tone for what would become a truly memorable stay.
Our afternoon in the spa was nothing short of transformative. Clodagh and Priscilla were exceptional—professional, intuitive, and genuinely gifted at what they do. It was one of the most uplifting, yet deeply relaxing experiences we’ve ever had. We left feeling restored and completely at peace, having been in the most capable and caring hands.
And then there was the food—what an experience! From a hearty, beautifully prepared breakfast to a luxurious afternoon tea, and an exquisite dinner to end the day, every bite was memorable. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation wa did you put on s elegant, and the flavors were simply some of the best we've had anywhere. Aiilbhe and all The dining room staff deserve special mention for their friendly, attentive, and highly professional service which elevated each meal.
Killaloe Hotel and Spa is not only an ideal destination for couples seeking a romantic getaway, but it’s also perfect for families wanting to spend quality time together in a tranquil, scenic setting. With the stunning views over the lake and the welcoming atmosphere, it's a place that stays with you long after you leave.
We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

We were a party of 4, staying for 3 nights. Staff were extremely nice. Breakfast was beautiful, just enough and tasty. Evening meal was very nice (I would recommend the curry). The room was nice, bit dusty but linen and towels were fresh. The only thing that was lacking was net curtains for privacy.
