Absolutely exceptional! Gorgeous Bangkok style Street art plus signage and decor. Cozy cool atmosphere. Friendly accommodating, and at the top of their game staff! The food was amazing. Absolutely everything is extraordinary about this Thai restaurant. We are not at all surprised to see all of the many awards on the walls. Do not miss it!!

Absolutely blown away by the Khao Soi here. Easily the best I’ve had anywhere, and that includes spots in the U.S. where we’ve come. Super creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced, with just the right heat. You can tell they put serious care into the flavors. The dining area also felt unexpectedly homey and reminded me of traveling through Southeast Asia. The bright yellow exterior made it such a cute stop as we found this as we walked along the street. Kin Khao Thai was such a gem to find in Athlone. Highly recommend for anyone looking for real Thai food that delivers way beyond expectations.

I came here on a recommendation from a stranger, and i could not possibly be happier that I did. The server was phenominal, and when i asked for their recommendation for the menu, they were clearly knowledgeable. They asked for my spice tolerance, appetite, and protein preference before placing the order, and were quick to answer when i asked to choose between 2 cocktails. I got the Tom Yum Margarita (easily 9/10, could be a touch stronger, but thats just my preference for a heavy pour) and some mystery food (i never asked what it was, and i did ask for them to surprise me), but it was all PHENOMENAL. Absolutely beyond worth it.

Me and my boyfriend were here for dinner on Bank Holiday Sunday night. From start to finish, it was top class. The staff were very attentive, polite, and gave us great advice on the menu. The food was out of this world! We started with the special prawn salad and a spicy & sour beef broth soup – my boyfriend said the soup was absolutely beautiful and full of flavour. For mains, he had the chicken chili basil, and I went with the cod special – absolutely gorgeous, perfectly cooked, and bursting with taste. Generous portions too – loads of rice, and we ordered an extra portion of chips. I also had two glasses of the house Chardonnay, which was lovely. Everything was perfect – food, service, atmosphere. I would highly recommend Kin Cow to anyone visiting Athlone. This is a real, authentic Thai restaurant that should not be missed – if you can get a booking! - Mariana Vasylyk

Great food. Dishes are fresh and well cooked, but not too spicy. Highly recommend.
