Langtons John Street Tearooms in Kilkenny

We visited this tea room with high hopes — hoping to have a lovely time and enjoy some nice desserts. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointment. All the desserts were far too sweet. The cakes had a heavy buttercream, which I really didn’t enjoy. The Pavlova dessert had an overbaked, dry meringue. Overall, it just wasn’t worth the money

I lloved atmosphere here. You csn feel tradition and history Staff is so friendly, carrot cake is not home made but very good. Highly recommend.

I have had many breakfasts in the Tearooms and it is always delicious ❤️ The decor is so lovely and the staff are always so friendly and efficient! Highly recommend!

Lovely staff and very tasty food!

I have been frequenting Langtons tea rooms on a regular basis, the food and service are top drawer. The decor is really lovely and distinct to the Langton establishments in Kilkenny city. You can sit outside in the courtyard and take in a few rays on a sunny day. 5 star experience. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great menu, wonderful staff! I really enjoyed my meal and the coffee is outstanding! Lovely ambiance and I love the decor.

5 star review from me!! I brought my daughter and her friend for afternoon tea as a 10th birthday treat and my sister and I sat at a different table to let them feel grown up!! We had wait for a free table but the courtyard was lovely !!!We were only planning on a coffee but of course the smells got us and we ended up ordering lunch ohh the burger 👌🏻 the food was fab and Ciara our server was lovely the way she looked after the girls was so sweet!! We left happy and full. We are all watching the pennies lately but can honestly say I felt like it was great value for money and would not hesitate to go again🥰

I highly recommend if you want to meet for lunch & chat or try its coffee and cakes, but the breakfast menu is a must-try, well worth the indulgence
