Hidden gem in Thomastown. Food a staff delicious and super friendly. There scrambled eggs are the nicest scrambled eggs I've ever tasted. So light and fluffy and perfectly seasoned! Oh and here apple french toast 🤤 definitely worth a visit!

Popped in for a quick bite. The sausage rolls were delicious - flaky pastry, nice carmalized onion type relish, nice sausage itself. Got the 4 for 5€ deal, warmed. I couldn’t skip on a sweet treat for a few more quid - picked up a huge palmier (broke in half in my photo) that was light and buttery; the chocolate chip cookie was massive and my husband raved about it when I got it home.

Well worth a detour to visit one of Thomastown's foodie hotspots! A lovely fusion of South African & French, I'm still working my way through their various culinary delights, so waited a while before giving a review! Their daily lunch specials are always worth a try, and as with everything else on their menu, it is all made from scratch, clearly with high quality ingredients, given the flavours they manage to achieve. The highlight for me however, has to be the exquisitely layered & flaky pastries, by far the best I've had anywhere!!..including France!!! Service is always so friendly & attentive, and Julien & Ashika are always so warm & welcoming, with a clear passion for what they do! Don't be put off by the slightly underwhelming exterior...I for one am very happy they found Thomastown!! After seeing what they turned out for a one-off Fathers Day full Lunch this year, I'm hoping that it's a case of watch this space, with even more to come from them!...No pressure guys!!! Congrats on your recent Blas na hÉireann awards too!!

An absolute gem to have locally and recommend it to anyone. The meals and the pastries and bread are incredibly good. The chakalaka and the vegetarian breakfast, brownies and vanilla cookies are my absolute favourites.

Amazing food at reasonable prices. As a South African, having food from home is like a dream come true. Great food, friendly staff, decent prices, nice selection of snacks. I highly recommend this place.

SuperValu Thomastown

26/12/2024: Well stocked for a small Supervalu, the main problem with this store is the wifi- No phone coverage and their own WiFi is poor. Makes phone banking and using the Supervalu app difficult most visits. The self check our also takes longer, it's not manned you must wait for a manager or a check out person to come help, help is always required it never recognises the weights or items also doesn't accept Frank and Honest app or recycling vouchers. Staff friendly and helpful and food good quality, price on items not always correct especially with offers.

The Blackberry Cafe

09/12/2024: Very nice soup....nice and hot ,but I would recommend two slices of your lovely brown bread with it.. The toasted chicken pesto sambo was delicious and no problem when I asked for red onion instead of cheese
07/12/2024: My wife & I popped in for a quick bite before attending a wedding nearby, completely unaware we were about to have our lives changed forever by the humble Irish Italian sandwich . . . My word. Absolutely delectable. A divine treat from the heavens above. Made with pure love and the freshest ingredients. Tender chicken. Delicious pesto. Mouth-watering melted cheese. Finished in an exquisite ciabatta and washed down with a satisfying flat white. What an experience. Will I be driving another 2 hour & 40 minute round trip from Dublin to sample the delights of the Irish Italian again? Seriously considering it. The staff were also lovely and the toilet spacious enough to get changed into a tuxedo after. 11/10. Highly recommended.
