The absolute best food. I was in Galway for only two nights and I ate here both nights. The service is very good and it’s a quiet, clean nice restaurant.
We had some of the homemade pulled noodles and the tofu dumplings as the starter. The food was quite tasty in general, lots of veggies in the main and tender beef. The only drawback was that it was not hot, which is quite unusual for Chinese cuisine. The vegetarian dumplings could have more veggies inside as well.
Second time dining in. Staff very friendly and attentive. Water always filled and cutlery replaced. Broad, delicious, flavourful, hot food. Will come again and recommend to others :)
Our whole family had dinner at Renao and it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, with beautifully presented and flavorful dishes. But the best part, without a doubt, was the service: we were served by a lovely, kind, and attentive Spanish woman who made everything even better. We felt completely at ease from the moment we arrived.
A highly recommended spot in Galway—we would definitely go back.
I ordered miso soup (8.5 euros) and sweet potato (5 euros). The soup was cooked with old lard, it was edible. The seafood included one shrimp and huge mussel shells. I never thought this soup could be ruined so badly. The sweet potato is without salt or sauces, but the portion is large and well-fried.
The food was delicious!! I got one of the Handmade Noodle thingies with Soba and I was so full afterwards. Very tasty food and the staff, was also nice and accommodating! :)
14/02/2026: What a gem. This is some of the best food we experienced in Ireland. It is a small, intimate restaurant with a small and uncomplicated menu. The quality and flavor of the food is exceptional. The staff were so friendly and helpfull. Coming from Cape Town, we have fairly high expectations when it comes to flavor and quality, and Ard Bia definitely did not disappoint. If you find yourself in Galway, do yourself a favor and dine at this intimate and unassuming little restaurant.
12/02/2026: This is an amazing find just by Spanish Arch. There is a lovely welcome and the atmosphere is calm and cosy. The staff are a attentive but not overly. The menu was interesting and whet the appetite, but the food, unfortunately, wasn't as great as one hoped - a little disappointing in fact. I will go back though
