Popped in for lunch with our mam on her 70th birthday. Had delicious food. Stand were so friendly and engaging. Lovely birthday cake treat from staff . Worth a visit. Make sure and pop in for lovely food and atmosphere.

We stopped in on our way from Galway to Dublin. The food was worth the trip! Our server was a delight. We had the specials of the day, panko fish and homemade ravioli. The fish was maybe the best I've ever had. It just melted in my mouth. Everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed the town, the meal and the service.

We visited Loaves and Fishes Cafe in Athlone in September 2024 while passing through on our way to the West Coast, and what a fantastic little find it turned out to be! We were pretty hungry and didn't know where to get food, so we asked a friendly local for a recommendation. They pointed us to Loaves and Fishes, and we couldn’t be happier with the choice. The atmosphere inside the cafe was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet modern vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. I decided to go for the Caesar Salad, and wow, it was absolutely scrumptious. The ingredients were fresh, and the dressing had the perfect balance of flavors, making it one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had. Overall, Loaves and Fishes is a true hidden gem in Athlone. If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by for a delicious, satisfying brunch. Highly recommended!
