LoCo Grocer in Arklow

Never thought I’d see the day when Arklow served me something that wasn’t beige and deep-fried, but LOCO Grocer has pulled off the impossible. Their avocado toast? Genuinely delicious. In Arklow terms, that’s basically Michelin-starred. And the chocolate cake… to die for. Which is fitting, because I nearly keeled over from the shock of finding world class cake in Arklow, of all places. If you told me I’d eat something here that didn’t come out of a chip bag or a deli counter, I’d have laughed in your face. So yeah, hats off to LOCO Grocer. Who knew Arklow’s biggest attraction wouldn’t be the road out of it, but a slice of chocolate cake?

Fantastic vegan fare!! Was disappointed when I arrived too late the evening before to the Happy Pear. Ran into Fergus the next day who guided me to his daughters restraunt in Arklow, which exceeded my expectations for high quality, whole food, plant based food! Delish!! And Thanx for shouting me lunch Fergus! Definitely one of the highlights of my 2300 km bike tour around Ireland!

We dined beneath sun umbrellas in Loco Grocer's garden this week and what a treat! I chose the Melt and my daughter had a Coronation Chicken sandwich. Both were inventive and the mix of flavours was delicious. Each person who dealt with us was engaging, friendly and very efficient. We'll definitely be back!

Great little cafe with very friendly service and excellent food.

I came in to LoCo Grocer with my toddler today to get some late morning breakfast. You can tell when some wait staff aren't too happy when you show up with a toddler, but this waiter (didn't catch his name) was so helpful, friendly and accommodating. He really went above and beyond for us all morning as I had a lot of requests 😬. It really makes going out to eat with a two year old more relaxing and enjoyable. Food was delish and the cafe is cosy and relaxing. I would highly recommend. Had a lovely morning there. 🌟

Just had an incredible vegetarian Okonomiyaki special here. Lovely staff, timely service and delicious food.

Such an amazing spot, Arklow is lucky to have it! Everything on the menu is delicious and regular new specials make it fun to get something a bit different. The coffee is fantastic and the staff are even better. Lots of vegan options and twists. We love coming here for food and drinks, the outdoor space is really nice too and doggo friendly, can't rate this place highly enough!

Have to give this place 5 stars as every staff member we dealt with was friendly and mannerly and the food was top notch, breakfast sambo, gluten free avocado, mushroom and eggs and some desserts, everything was great. Well done everyone!
