Great pub, lovely staff. Managed to get a spot out the back to stay in camper van overnight. Definitely recommend an will be back

Such a lovely quaint village pub that is actually quite a large pub/entertainment venue with large function rooms to the rear , the pub allows campervan to park at the rear . The food is simply delicious and competitively priced , they had local artist music on the night we were there and they were very professional. The Guinness is simply creamy deliciousness, the bar is filled with locals all having good craic and telling their yarns . This is a very homely welcoming place to visit and I thoroughly recommend it .

August 2025 On our bike tour, we were allowed to put up our tent for the night in the backgarden. Sean welcomed us, we had a great chat and we enjoyed a drink on the pub’s terrace overlooking the Shannon.

I was lucky to be able to drink a beer in front of the fireplace. Then we moved to the beautiful restaurant room next door where we had delicious food overlooking the river. Finally, the owner gave us a tour of the old pub from 1775

Went to a music event here. Such a cozy place. Staff were all lovely and friendly. Service was great and beautiful views outside. Food looked amazing, look forward to going back and trying some.

I recently visited this restaurant, and it was by far the best meal I’ve had in Ireland! The food was absolutely delicious every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. On top of that, the service was exceptional!!! I’ll definitely be coming back.

A wonderful traditional restaurant in a small idyllic village. You can get great typical Irish pub food (fish and chips, baked pork chops, roast beef) but also some dishes with south Asian elements (curry with mussels). Special thanks to Upul the chief cook and the owner and his wife to their great support inclusive historical information of the building. Every visitor, especially boot tourists, has to visit the Luke's pub! Tommy (Pumuckel) and Co from Germany
