Lukers bar in Shannonbridge

August 2025 On our bike tour, we were allowed to put up our tent for the night in the backgarden. Sean welcomed us, we had a great chat and we enjoyed a drink on the pub’s terrace overlooking the Shannon.

I was lucky to be able to drink a beer in front of the fireplace. Then we moved to the beautiful restaurant room next door where we had delicious food overlooking the river. Finally, the owner gave us a tour of the old pub from 1775

Went to a music event here. Such a cozy place. Staff were all lovely and friendly. Service was great and beautiful views outside. Food looked amazing, look forward to going back and trying some.

I recently visited this restaurant, and it was by far the best meal I’ve had in Ireland! The food was absolutely delicious every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. On top of that, the service was exceptional!!! I’ll definitely be coming back.

A wonderful traditional restaurant in a small idyllic village. You can get great typical Irish pub food (fish and chips, baked pork chops, roast beef) but also some dishes with south Asian elements (curry with mussels). Special thanks to Upul the chief cook and the owner and his wife to their great support inclusive historical information of the building. This is a must visit for food lovers!!! We had a small group of 3, whom were on a Shannon cruise late summer. The chef is one of the best in the world, the food my group had here was genuinely phenomenal. The staff are so inviting and friendly that it makes the venue feel like a warm family gathering rather than a typical money grabbing bar/restaurant.

Assembled a crew for my thirtieth and sailed up the Shannon to Luker’s for our first overnight stop; they had no problem accommodating our large group and provided top class service with delicious food. Big fire roaring in the hearth down the back was the cherry on top of a lovely evening of chat and song. Five plus stars and shoutout to all the staff for putting up with us.
