Mary Ann's Bar in Castletownshend

Was there this weekend, is absolutely wonderful! Food is excellent, owner is friendly and welcoming. Exactly what you hope to find in local venue. If you're anywhere in the area, is well worth a stop. We will definitely be back.

Popped in here for lunch after having a quick Google of restaurants in the area. What a lucky find! This is not a seafood restaurant however there is a definite emphasis on fish. Hubby and I both went for the fish and chips which was fresh haddock, beautifully served with scrumptious fries. All dishes on the menu were competitively priced as was the wine list. There is a lovely atmosphere with pleasant, efficient staff. Afterwards we went upstairs to the art gallery which is a lovely addition to the premises. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch in Mary Ann’s and next time we find ourselves in West Cork, it will be top of our list. I would advise reserving a table, it’s a busy spot.

Was staying in the area for 5 days and came here twice it was so good. Food was amazing, service was excellent, and staff v attentive. Highly recommend.

Quaint little pub with fabulously fresh seafood served daily. On a search for decent fresh seafood while on a day trip around West Cork we called into Mary Anns for a late lunch and we were not disappointed! A great menu with lots of specials. Lovely staff and a wonderful homely atmosphere.
