My god the food was outstanding…. Can’t wait to try the crab the next time. Possibly one of the best chowders I’ve ever had.

*****HIGHLY RECOMMENDED***** My partner and I have eaten here on several occasions and it never fails to impress. Portion sizes are very good and food is always fresh and appealing. Fish dishes are top class and the seafood chowder is fabulous. We have had other starter meals, main meat dishes, chicken dishes etc and they never disappoint. Staff are very friendly and the put itself is quaint and homely, with a nice touch of charm. Pints are good and no more expensive than anywhere else. Whether you choose from the main menu or the specials menu, you won't be disappointed regardless. I would highly recommend Mary Barrys and look forward to dining here many times in the future.

We stopped in for dinner on Friday without a reservation and were very lucky. The fish simply melted in your mouth! The breading was light, golden, and not at all greasy. The portion was generous, and the fries were just right—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Chowder was a very nice first time experience, and mussels very tasty and loads of them, highly recommended!
