My review has been edited & more stars given since my last one was that of disappointment and now we have returned to being in love with it again. My husband convinced me to give it another chance since he had gone with friends and had a very enjoyable experience. We have had several takeaways since & have revisited the restaurant together. There is a reason that on most days not only is the restaurant busy, but you may find yourself in a long queue waiting for your takeaway. The food is fresh and prepared well. If you have not tried their food before and are thinking of getting a takeaway, allow 20-30 minutes since the food is prepared fresh.

Excellent service and food either sit in or take away. The Mayur assorted sizzler is excellent, chicken lamb and prawns lovely. There is a Mayur app that makes it very easy to order takeaway.

Absolutely brilliant place with authentic Indian taste. Definitely a go to place if you are craving authentic Indian. Samosa being modified to local palate was a letdown but based on recommendation from the restaurant we didn’t order it and went with other options. But I wish I had some authentic samosas! Other dishes were absolutely delicious and although the dessert I ordered was top notch I wish there were more authentic indian desserts. I think this restaurant is by far one of the top 5 Indian restaurants in Ireland. Will certainly return and highly recommended.

Have been here four times me and my partner love it the food is amazing and fresh the staff really look after you last time here they where really busy and still made the time too look after the customers can't wait to come back

Great place to dine, authentic Indian restaurant in a Central location in portlaoise. The place is lovely looking, mirrors, lights, and artwork really add to the atmosphere, can't fault the staff who were great, food amazing, kids menu also, would definitely recommend, we went on a Monday afternoon so the place was very quiet but I'd imagine it gets a lot busier closer to the weekends, top notch 👍👍👍

Superb food & great service - the food was fresh, all the spices were really nice, and the lamb was really soft and succulent. I travel a lot and this is one of the finest Indian restaurants I’ve eaten at.
