Great steak. Great portion sizes. Reasonably priced for top quality food and service

We had a very nice lunch here. The mains we had were lamb shank, pan fried plaice and the seafood pie. The plaice was perfect and the others were delicious too. Pleasant and prompt service. A good restaurant and we left very full and happy despite the wet weather. Highly recommended .

First time visit with local friend. As no reservations are taken we went around 5pm and luck had 1 table for 2 free! Warm and friendly atmosphere. I'd have eaten all on the menu but chose scalops for starter and a great amount too. Delicious. Then had surf&,turf for mains. Totally delicious. Not cheap but service was well paced never hurried. Looking forward to a return visit.

Delicious 😋! First visit. Lucky timing as no bookings are taken due to 'no shows' but hey it was lovely.

We had a wonderful meal last night ,we have being meaning to Try it for ages ,the plaice was beautifully cooked and great portion season vegetables served with it were very tender, the steak probably the best cooked steak we had in the whole south east also the haddock goujouns suberb battwr nice and crisp and light ,beautiful wine selection that compliments the meat and fish ,lemon cheesecake was so nice too ,the timing between starters and main courses were perfect too wich is great wile having a glass wine and digest the starters, the atmosphere is very inviting and warm and cosy ,staff were superb ,particularly the guy was very attentive and making sure all meals were OK made his business to come outside and say goodbye as we left food that's locally sourced and cooked beautifully are hard to come by I'm glad we finally made it here we are looking forward to our next meal

A pretty much perfect meal, with nothing really to complain about! Probably more 4.5. We were looking for some seafood and stumbled onto this place near the river. Immediately welcomed in and shown to a table which was great as the place was busy and we hadn’t booked! Fabulous menu options available with the surf and turf selected plus specials board where the hake and mussels chosen. The hake option was delicious, well balanced and fresh, although the mussels were a bit on the small side. The’ turf’ was cooked as requested and was also great. Both were served with tasty potatoes and veg. Good selection of wine available at different levels, although more choice by the glass would be appreciated. Plenty of dessert options available but we were full. Very pleasing and professional service throughout although being called ‘lads’ each time was interesting given only one of us was!
