McLeary's in Waterford

Fantastic Restaurant, food was delicious, service excellent, honestly one of the best places to eat in Waterford.

We had a wonderful meal last night ,we have being meaning to Try it for ages ,the plaice was beautifully cooked and great portion season vegetables served with it were very tender, the steak probably the best cooked steak we had in the whole south east also the haddock goujouns suberb battwr nice and crisp and light ,beautiful wine selection that compliments the meat and fish ,lemon cheesecake was so nice too ,the timing between starters and main courses were perfect too wich is great wile having a glass wine and digest the starters, the atmosphere is very inviting and warm and cosy ,staff were superb ,particularly the guy was very attentive and making sure all meals were OK made his business to come outside and say goodbye as we left food that's locally sourced and cooked beautifully are hard to come by I'm glad we finally made it here we are looking forward to our next meal

This restaurant has a very charming atmosphere. While our visit there was a lovely instrumental music in the background. Even if everything is a little bit dark, the candles and light is very romantic. The waiters are very friendly and not too intrusive but attentive. We ordered the crispy chicken wings as a starter and they were crispy as promised, perfectly cooked/fried just to get the meat straight of the bones. The 10oz fillet steak with onion rings and fries was perfectly medium cooked as ordered and the peppercornsauce was served in an extra container, so you could choose yourself how much you wanted. As dessert I had the chefs dessert of the day which was a tart with bananacream and caramel.. not to recommend when eaten too much before, but it was awesome. My bf had the baileys creme brulee which he said was also very good. The sugarcrust was very crispy. Thank you for the real good evening with very delicious food. Definetly worth a visit.

Dined here twice this week whilst in Waterford...so so lovely..will definitely return!

Lovely place with excellent service and food. My husband had the seafood pie, which was excellent. I had the pork medallions, also excellent. Had a good wine list as well.

FABULOUS, everything about our visit was great. The gentleman who seated us very friendly, chatted all things LFC!! The food was divine, with huge portions!! Wish we lived nearer..... Wed be regulars, but in our next visit, we will be back!!
