No insude tables available when we were there so had to sit outside. They did put the heaters on for us so we were warm enough.

Place was ok, maybe a bit chaotic. The cheese plate we ordered as starter was good, but the medium-rare filleto was mostly grey inside.

Great atmosphere, delicious food, very nice and dedicated personnel. I would have loved to get a bit more fish in my fish and chips and a bit more of peas mash, but overall it was delicious, the portions were all in all correct and we enjoyed our dinner. The desserts were also delicious. Very recommended!

Food was fantastic. There was so much on the menu I wanted to try. I had the goats cheese salad and the chilli prawns. Both were absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and we had great service even on a very busy night. We knew it was going to be good when the taxi man told us we picked the best place in town when he dropped us there.

Got a recommendation from a friend for this place and they were right to praise it: delicious food, engaged, attentive staff, and a cool, clean environment. I was able to make a booking at short notice, and I really appreciated that, especially given how busy it was. Its sister restaurant, next door, is just as good, too!

McLeary's

17/09/2026: In town overnight, called into McLeary’s looking for a table for 2 without a reservation, no availability but was kindly told they’d have one in 20 mins. A brief walk by the river and we were back and table ready as promised. Staff were excellent, menu was extensive, food was excellent and atmosphere was cosy and jolly. Price was easily justified by the quality and service - I’d highly recommend and will be back if I’m in town again! 10 / 10
13/09/2026: There were 3 of us in McLeary’s for dinner and we all really enjoyed it. The food was excellent, especially the steak, which was cooked perfectly. We also had a few cocktails and they were really good. The staff were friendly and the service was great without feeling rushed. Nice atmosphere as well, very relaxed and easy going. Would definitely go back again next time we’re in Waterford.
