McNamara's in Scarriff

Great owner...Evan is amazing. Food is outstanding and large portions. Wonderful Guiness.

We visited Scariff for the first time ever of holidaying on a river cruiser. We visited the town and walked past this pub so decided to stop for a couple of drinks. While there the staff and locals were friendly and a family was having lunch which smelled amazing, so we decided to book an evening meal. We arrived about 7pm and ordered drinks. I had a Madri and my wife half a Guinness. Not being used to it, we had to wait a few minutes for the Guinness. The barman explained why. We ordered food, both having soup of the day and pork lion with extra gravy. The food was excellent. I loved tbe fact they asked us to let them know when we wanted the main course, so it wasn't a case of rushing us to eat and vacate the table. I'd highly recommend this pub. Food, drinks, staff, all excellent and to cap it off, the locals were friendly and happily chatted with us. We had a really nice time and enjoyed it so much as we stayed in Scariff we booked in for a an evening meal the next day.

First class food and service. Had an evening meal and so tasty. Meat fell apart, and vegetables cooked to perfection. Topped of with a pint of Guinness Highly recommend
